Russian servers have been shut off to gamers.
If you are a gamer you may have no more connections with Russian gamers. To this date OCT 13th 2016 all Russian servers have been shut down within Battlefield games.
With the current tensions with Russia and the US this might be something to look into further.
UPDATE, Play station 4 and 3, X-box 1 and 360 have deleted connections to Russia through online servers.
