ApApotheosis and the Return of Christ: A Reflection on the Days of Noah and Lot

If you have ever explored the topic of the Nephilim in the Bible or delved into the countless theories surrounding their existence, let me offer another perspective as we move closer to what many believe to be the end of this era and the return of Christ.

Genesis 6: The Origins of a Different Race

Genesis 6 provides a glimpse into a time when humanity was rapidly expanding, and a mysterious event took place:

“And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” (Genesis 6:1-4)

Here, we witness the population boom, the intermingling of divine beings with human women, and the emergence of a new and distinct race—the Nephilim. This moment in history marks a deviation from natural human lineage and introduces a profound supernatural element to the narrative of mankind.

The term “sons of God” has been widely debated. Some interpret it as referring to the fallen angels, while others argue they were rulers or men of divine favor who corrupted themselves. Regardless of the interpretation, what follows is the birth of extraordinary beings, different from ordinary humans. These Nephilim were mighty, renowned figures, but their existence also seemed to catalyze widespread corruption, leading to divine judgment through the Great Flood.

Could the offspring of the Nephilim have been a result of women engaging in multiple sexual encounters? Throughout the Bible, we see instances where promiscuity and sexual impurity lead to severe consequences. For example, Genesis 38 recounts the story of Tamar, who disguised herself and engaged in relations with Judah, leading to the birth of Perez and Zerah. While this was not directly related to the Nephilim, it shows how sexual encounters outside divine law brought about unexpected and sometimes mysterious offspring.

Was this the reason why virginity before marriage was so strongly emphasized? Could it have been a divine safeguard against the birth of a wicked lineage, perhaps even giants? If genetic material from multiple partners remains in a woman’s body, as some scientific studies suggest, could the mixing of different lineages have played a role in the corruption of human DNA, leading to the emergence of giants or other abnormalities?

A Parallel to the Days of Lot

Jesus later draws a connection between those ancient times and the days of Lot:

“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” (Luke 17:28-30)

Just as in the days of Noah, the period leading up to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was marked by moral and sexual corruption. Society was indulging in excess, blind to the judgment that was imminent. The people of Sodom were not only engaged in general sinfulness but had reached a level of depravity that led to their total destruction by divine fire.

The comparison to modern times is striking. We see an age of technological advancement, economic expansion, and cultural shifts that prioritize self-indulgence, excess, and moral relativism over divine principles. Many have abandoned traditional spiritual values, embracing ideologies that mirror the self-gratifying nature of Sodom.

The Modern Implications: A Scientific Perspective

Recent studies have uncovered startling biological realities about human reproduction. It has been suggested that:

  • Every man a woman has a sexual relationship with leaves behind genetic material that may persist within her body.

  • Researchers studying elderly women found male DNA present in their brains, possibly remnants of past sexual encounters.

  • Sperm cells can travel beyond the reproductive system and embed themselves in different tissues, even in the brain and spine.

These discoveries raise profound questions about the unseen effects of sexual activity. Could this be a biological mechanism through which corruption spreads, much like in the days of Noah and Lot? If sexual promiscuity leads to lasting physical and spiritual consequences, might this be a clue to the rise of wicked generations?

Additionally, with the rise of genetic modification, artificial intelligence, and transhumanist ideologies, we are seeing attempts to alter the very fabric of human nature. Just as the Nephilim represented a hybridization of human and supernatural elements, modern science is pushing humanity toward a future where genetic purity is questioned, and the boundaries of what it means to be “human” are blurred.

The Consequences of Sexual Liberation

Modern culture often promotes uninhibited sexuality, encouraging high “body counts,” casual encounters, and extreme practices. The porn industry glorifies excess, yet few discuss the unseen consequences. Society normalizes behaviors that would have been unthinkable just decades ago. The widespread acceptance of practices such as open relationships, polyamory, and unrestricted access to explicit content raises concerns about whether we are walking down a path similar to that of Sodom and Gomorrah.

In the Bible, Sodom and Gomorrah’s downfall was not just about sexual immorality but about a complete rejection of divine order. Ezekiel 16:49 states:

“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.”

Their sins included arrogance, gluttony, and neglect of moral responsibility—issues we see amplified in the world today. The push for unrestricted freedom in all areas of life has led to societal instability, broken families, and a growing disconnect from spiritual truths.

Conclusion: A Call for Reflection

The parallels between ancient warnings and contemporary trends are hard to ignore. As we navigate an era where boundaries are pushed further than ever before, we must ask ourselves:

  • Are we witnessing the fulfillment of prophecy?

  • Are we approaching a moment of divine reckoning?

  • Has humanity once again reached the brink of corruption that demands divine intervention?

Perhaps it is time to reflect on our choices and seek wisdom before history repeats itself, bringing about the same judgment that befell the generations of Noah and Lot. The call to repentance has never been more urgent. As society drifts further into self-indulgence and spiritual blindness, those who recognize the signs must stand firm in their faith and prepare for what is to come.
